Applications and selection notes
An isolation gasket set electrically separates a flanged joint on cathodically protected lines. It is used on buried steel pipelines, at station entries and where different protection zones meet. The set consists of the gasket body, sleeves separating the studs from the flange holes and insulating washers.
If any part of the set is missing, electrical separation is not achieved; a resistance measurement after installation should confirm it works. The gasket body is selected for the line pressure and for gas or liquid service.
