Applications and selection notes
Butt weld fittings keep the bore of the line continuous, which lowers pressure drop and turbulence and allows full inspection. Long radius elbows are the standard choice; short radius is used only where space is limited. Concentric reducers suit vertical runs, while eccentric reducers prevent liquid pooling in horizontal lines.
State size, schedule, material grade and standard (ASME B16.9, MSS SP-75) when ordering. PMI reports and heat treatment records can be requested for alloy items.
