Selection and ordering notes
The EN 1092-1 type 01 plate flange slides over the pipe and is joined with fillet welds. It is widely used in water, HVAC and industrial plant lines in low and medium PN classes.
Full face (FF) form is preferred on cast iron equipment, because a raised face can crack a brittle body. PN 6 is the class of low pressure water and air lines, normally used with full face soft gaskets. See flange face types for the details.
