Selection and ordering notes
A butt weld fitting keeps the bore continuous, which lowers pressure drop and turbulence and allows the weld to be fully inspected. It is selected in the same material grade and schedule as the pipe.
State size, schedule, material grade and standard together; PMI reports can be requested for alloy items. See when to use a flanged connection for the details.
