In a weld neck flange the pipe is joined to the end of the tapered hub with a butt weld. Stress decreases gradually along the hub, which makes it the standard choice for high pressure, high temperature and vibrating lines. The weld is single and fully radiographable.
The hub bore is machined to the pipe schedule, so the schedule must be stated on the order. Class 150 carries roughly 19 bar at ambient temperature, and that value drops markedly as temperature rises. It is the most common class on general service lines. See weld neck or slip-on for the details.

Dimensions, bolt hole count and diameters are given in the original drawing and table on the technical document tab. Material certificates (EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2), dimensional inspection and PMI reports are supplied with the order file.
