A blind flange is a solid flange with no bore that closes the line completely. It is used for line termination, maintenance isolation, pressure testing and capping spare outlets.
Because pressure acts on the whole face it is thicker than other types of the same size and class, so stud length is calculated differently. Class 2500 is the highest pressure class in the standard and appears mostly in drilling, high pressure process and test lines. See what is a blind flange for the details.
