Cast body valves in ASME/ANSI dimensions are the basic isolation and control solution for medium and large process lines. Gate valves give full bore and low pressure drop, globe valves suit throttling, and check valves prevent backflow. Ends are usually flanged or butt weld.
Body material follows the service: WCB carbon steel for general process, LCC for low temperature, CF8M stainless and WC6/WC9 for high temperature. State pressure class, seat leakage class and body and trim material together.
