Applications and selection notes
Forged body valves are denser and free of the porosity found in castings, which means safer operation at high pressure and under thermal cycling. They are typically used at 2" and below with socket weld or threaded ends; gate, globe and check types are the most common.
Pressure classes are given as 800#, 1500# and 2500#. State end connection, body material (A105, F304L/F316L, F11, F22), seat facing and NACE compliance where required.
