Applications and selection notes
A nozzle check valve closes before the flow stops, thanks to its accelerating internal profile and spring loaded disc, so reverse flow barely forms and water hammer is minimised. It is the answer at compressor and pump discharges and on lines that stop suddenly.
Pressure drop is lower than in conventional check valves, but selection must follow the real flow range of the line. State size, pressure class, body and trim material and fluid density.
