Applications and selection notes
A dual plate check valve closes quickly with two spring loaded half discs, which reduces the water hammer created by reverse flow. Its wafer body is far shorter and lighter than a swing check, so it is preferred at pump discharges and where space is tight.
Flow velocity, spring type and seat material drive the selection. At low velocity the spring may not close fully, so share the minimum flow rate of the line with your enquiry.
