Applications and selection notes
Butterfly valves save space and weight on large bore lines. The concentric type has a resilient seat and suits water, air and low pressure general service, while the single offset type allows higher seating load and temperature. Wafer bodies are the most economical; lug bodies allow one side of the line to be dismantled.
State whether the fluid carries solids, the required seat leakage class and the actuation type (manual, gearbox, pneumatic, electric). For higher pressure and temperature see the high performance types.
